Everything you need to know about Aerenium. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us.
Aerenium stores memory in a 4×4 grid: 4 persistence tiers (Volatile, Session, Durable, Permanent) × 4 bleed axes (Ambient, Reactive, Indexed, Archive). Volatile scratch pads hold 20 items and evaporate on restart. Session echo decays after 7 days. Durable workspaces fade after 30 days. Permanent bedrock and lore are immortal and encrypted at rest. Aerenium decides what goes where based on context, not just chronological order.
Activate once with the code we email you. Aerenium binds the license to your device hardware ID (SHA-256 of system + machine + node + MAC, truncated to 16 hex chars), then re-checks your subscription every 5 days while online. Tokens are RS256-signed JWTs and the local cache is Fernet-encrypted with a key derived from your hardware ID. You can deactivate and move to a new machine at any time.
Yes. Paid features keep working for up to 5 days without internet. After that, Aerenium gracefully drops back to Free until it can confirm the subscription again — your conversations, memory, and settings are never touched.
The app gracefully degrades to Free at the end of the billing period. All your local data stays. Pro-only operations show a clear upgrade prompt instead of failing silently.
Yes — open Settings → License → Deactivate, then activate on the new machine with the same code. Each code is bound to one active device at a time.
OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Together, DeepSeek, Mistral, Ollama, LM Studio, plus any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Bring your own keys — they never leave your machine.
Plus adds Discord voice, music control, and priority support to the Free tier. Pro adds desktop automation (mouse and keyboard control), sub-agents for parallel tasks, deep research workflows, and advanced browser actions. Most individual users find Plus covers everything they need. Pro is for power users who want the app to operate their desktop directly.
Yes. Your API keys, conversation history, and memory are stored locally on your machine. Nothing is sent to our servers except license verification (a SHA-256 hardware hash) and optional anonymous crash reports. The local cache is encrypted at rest. You can audit every outgoing network request in the settings panel.
Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+ are fully supported. Linux support is in beta (Ubuntu 22.04+ and Arch). Discord voice capture requires WASAPI on Windows or PulseAudio on Linux. Desktop control uses native OS APIs and works on all supported platforms.
Yes. If Aerenium doesn't work for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions asked. Refunds are processed within 3 business days. If you paid yearly, the refund is prorated for unused months.
Yes. Aerenium supports a cartridge-based mod system. You can build custom operations, memory overlays, Discord bot behaviors, and desktop automation scripts. Share them through the Community Hub or distribute them privately. Enterprise customers can run an internal mod registry.
Mods are self-contained cartridges with a manifest, Python hooks, and optional UI components. Drop a mod folder into ~/.aerenium/mods/ and it registers automatically on restart. The sandbox restricts file system access to allowed paths and caps memory usage. Mods can extend operations, add new vision pipelines, or inject custom Discord commands.
Cloud Storage is your personal encrypted space for Aerenium data. You choose exactly what goes up — just like exporting data from an app. Pick from three scopes:
Nothing leaves your device until you explicitly select it and hit sync. All uploads are AES-256 encrypted before transmission.
Yes. Log into Aerenium on your second device and pull down your cloud snapshot. You can restore everything or cherry-pick specific memory cells and settings. It works like signing into iCloud or Google Drive — your data follows your account, not your machine.
Every credit pack includes volume bonus credits — larger packs give you more credits per dollar. On top of that, active subscribers get a tier bonus: Plus users get +10% extra credits, Pro and Enterprise users get +20%. These bonuses stack. A Pro user buying the Power pack receives the volume bonus AND the 20% subscriber bonus.
